At a press conference at the County Administration Center, Board Chair Nathan Fletcher and Supervisor Joel Anderson described how they plan to spend the expected money to curb addiction and overdoses. 

Some of the areas hit hardest by opioid addiction include rural parts of the county and tribal lands, including East County communities in Anderson’s district, the supervisors said, so early phases of the program would target those areas.
