San Diego County Board Supervisor Joel Anderson awarded representatives from each organization with proclamations in appreciation of their effortcs to collet blood for those in need. January is officially deemed Blood Donor Month, the need for blood donations remained year-round, typically with an increased need in the winter months.

"I am grateful to our local blood collection organizations and their dedicated volunteers for working around-the-tclock to make sure that lifegiving blood is available for San Diegans when they need it," said Supervisor Anderon.
